Different...to make a difference

From the beginning, that is the way we understand NorthStar Church’s reason for being. That perception impacts everything we do as a church. Our vision and philosophy. The staff we’ll call, the way we worship. How we're organized and function. The ways we reach and minister to people. Simply everything we do and are. We aren’t church as usual. By design, we are different...to make a difference.

Always Becoming...

Our aim is to help people discover and develop their passion for God. We believe that true Christ-followers will continually grow, learn, develop, and mature. Jesus' disciples are "ALWAYS BECOMING" more like Him. While no person on earth will ever fully "arrive" at perfection, at NorthStar, we believe that there are characteristics that mark the life of any genuine believer. We call them "THE BASICS".

Cooperative by Nature

NorthStar Church cannot be an island unto itself as it fulfills its vision. Our kinship with and support of Southern Baptist missions and ministry through the SBC, the Utah/Idaho Baptist Convention and the Silver Lakes Baptist Association provide us strategic links to our city and the far corners of the world.

Level Ground

At NorthStar Baptist Church every person is equal. No one is better than anyone else. No one is more important than anyone else. That's why we say that the "ground at the foot of the cross is level."

Faith Family

NorthStar Church is made up of people who have intentionally chosen to be a part of our Faith Family. We believe that the word "Family" best describes how we should relate to one another as the body of Christ. We offer participating membership into this family.

"On Mission"

From its inception, NorthStar Baptist Church will be intentionally focused on giving birth to and assisting daughter churches. Our focus is upon fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandments by multiplying our ministry efforts through others. We are not just a mission church...but rather a Church On Mission! Our "parent" church is in Salmon, ID

Why the name, NorthStar?

For Centuries, Polaris, better known as "The North Star" has helped wayward seafarers find direction and has guided mariners around the world safely to their destinations. In the same way, NorthStar Church exists to help people discover life's true direction....A life connected to God. A life filled with peace and contentment.
